Thom Yorke says that no more freebies will follow!

Thom Yorke, in an interview for Hollywood Reporter said that their venture to give their album for free Internet download won’t happen again. Thom said: “I think it was a one-off response to a particular situation,” “it was one of those things where we were in the position of everyone asking us what we were going to do“. He added “I don’t think it would have the same significance now anyway, if we chose to give something away again. It was a moment in time,“.
Radiohead haven’t officialy announced if their move was a commercial success or not.. but the rumours of 10 million dollars profits from free downloads, made many bands think of following Radiohead example! Coldplay announced that the they will offer their first single for their next album for free.. while Prince, NIN already followed Radiohead idea!
