A message for Thom Yorke
Jun 25th, 2008 by admin
A Radiohead fan called Suzan Childs sent me a message via the contact form, but she thought she was speaking to Thom Yorke! So i decided to post her message here and hopefullywe had an answer from the band’s members! Suzan attended the last Radiohead show in London and she complains about the poor organization after the end of the show! Here is her message:
Dear Thom .I went to your gig last night at Victoria park.
It was great but after the show the crowd situation became incredibly
dangerous. We were on the right side of the stage and after the gig
we tried to move towards the nearest exit sign (which was huge). At
this point so did thousands of others only to be told that there was
no exit and the crowds then moved in a way that I can only describe as
a rip tide. It was a miracle that no one got hurt. People were
pushed and some fell. I have never been so frightened. Your security
staff stood behind the barriers and let the crush continue. There was
no crowd control. I saw disabled people in wheelchairs struggle to
not be crushed. I am very dissappointed. I have attended lots of
your previous gigs and never felt that they were poorly organised.
This was the first night that I have been out following the birth of
my child and I had been really looking forward to it.
