Radiohead live in London (25 June 08)
Jun 26th, 2008 by admin
Many fans believe that the second show of Radiohead in London was even greater than the first! I have the same opinion! Radiohead gave their second gig in London at Victoria Park and they played a 25 songs setlist, including the whole In Rainbows and Paranoid Android! The band started the show with Reckoner (3rd time it is choosen to open a show) and not with the usual 15 Step or All I need! Great show opener, don’t you think? The band chose Paranoid Android for a show finale and in my opinion a finale of a Radiohead show can’t be better than this! A+++ for the second encore!
We had no debut songs but it was only the fourth time that Radiohead played Go slowly and The Bends! Two great Ok Computer ballads were also performed (Karma Police and No Surprises) and the HTTT top moments, 2+2=5 and There There were also included. I suppose everyone would be happy after the end of the second London Show! Here is the setlist:

man! this is soo annoying, i went on the 24th, and we didnt get a 2nd encore, nor any of the well known mainstream raidohead songs which we dont listen 2 on your mp3 players however we would have absoloutly loved to hear them live!
as i said in previous posts, it is not a good idea to complain about songs that are not played.. because a setlist is only 25 songs and everyone of us has more than 40-50 Radiohead fav songs
he has every right to complain about songs that werent played, the 25th set-list was far broader and likely to please a lot more people than the 24th’s show, which i must admit I would have been dissappointed to see!!
i still believe it is a matter of taste.. i believe that some fans were satisfied with the 24 june setlist!
great setlist both nights, i thought, and they did two encores for both shows. the 24th had Just and Planet Telex and Airbag, and their second encore with you and whose army was fantastic.
thanks for posting the setlist here. good to relive it
heh i have a report for every show, so you can subscribe in order to receive the news (of course it is free)!
Were you in both london shows, bill?:O:O
yeah, ended up going to the second when a friend ended up with an extra ticket, but glad i did. they always mix it up enough to keep it really interesting.
I think the 24th show only appealed to the hardcore fans. The first hour was really slow, and the crowd didn’t move at all til There There (which came halfway through the show!). I’m all for slow songs, but they needed to pace the setlist a lot more, from the beginning I was waiting for a faster paced song to pop up. National Anthem 3 songs in… and then nothing else for a good 45 minutes or so!
The 25th setlist is a lot more mixed, better paced, and every song was a lot more accessible. I could imagine someone who didn’t know a single Radiohead song would still enjoy the 25th show, something I can’t really say for the 24th.
This setlist is awesome im going in manchester(pop my radiohead live cherry), karma police and paranoid android must have been amazing. My favourite song by them is you and whose army which id love to see but am not sure if i will :S
Also id like to see Last flowers but thats not gonna happen. and as for Creep well if they played that i would die! hahaha
but yeah im actually buzzing
x
Can i also add that the other setlist looked good i thought, as i said you and whose armys my favourite and other than that there were some really good ones id be happy with either.
x
hehe not last flowers neither down is the new up will be played
and of course.. not Creep!
But i have a secret to tell you
Creep and Last Flowers and Down is the new up, will be played in just one show
In Berlin on July 8
(where is the only show i will be present)
I’d sum that set up as being about half Greatest Hits plus In Rainbows, which is pretty much what they ought to be playing by convention. As such I’m glad I went on the 24th.
Seriously, anyone who has yet to see them is pretty much guaranteed to like it if they enjoy In Rainbows as they’ve played nearly all of it at every gig. The older tracks are a bit of a lottery, but if you don’t get all the hits at least you’ll be able to brag about getting some rarely performed album tracks instead. It’s a win-win situation.
