The fourth Radiohead show in England took place in Manchester at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground! Though the setlist was the same to the Glasgow setlist (only Pyramid song took the place of Like Spinning Plates). But Radiohead had a surprise for us.. they played a third encore with Lucky! Cool idea to finish a show, imho! Thom Yorke said: “We still have time left before we turn into pumpkins. Or mice or whatever the fuck it is.”

It is the first 26 songs setlist! I suppose the fans enjoyed the show. Radiohead performed almost the whole In Rainbows and the best Ok Computer songs (paranoid android, no surprises, lucky, karma police, airbag). Waiting for your comments! Here is the Radiohead Manchester setlist!

Fantastic show, thom and the boys were on top form. Third time seeing them and they blew me away again! The setlist was perfect was so made up they played Optimistic. I’m still buzzing from last night!

  2. admin says:

third time for this tour??!??! which show was the best?

  3. Tom says:

Amazing! When National Anthem kicked in I knew this was going to be the best night of my life. They are not the Arctic Monkeys.

  4. Simon says:

One of the best nights of my life. Loved it from start to finish. Brilliant setlist, brilliant crowd, brilliant band. When I’m at the pearly gates, that gig’ll be on my videotape – thank you Radiohead.

  5. annemarie says:

One of the greatest sundowns I have seen! And a Lucky ending! A perfect day in Manchester (with some technical irritations in the beginning). I loved to be involved. Excellent, climbing, snatching!

  6. admin says:

heheh who would bet that they would play 3 encores? i feel that you lucky manchester residents will feel really special for that 3 encores/26 songs setlist !
    i am jealous!

  7. Will says:

When are they going to play Reckoner?

  8. Will says:

    FREE TIBET!!!!

  9. admin says:

ehmm they played reckoner in this and almost in every gig!!

  10. Jester says:

Probably the best i’ve seen them. Had my new son there for his 1st gig, wife for the 1st time & both seemed happy. National Anthem always a pleaser, Nude was sublime, Lucky just ended a perfect evening. Many thanks to the lady who donated some new ear defenders for my boy, happy to have missed the Verve at Glastonbury for this. Hoping to find some way of either vid/mp3 to make a keepsake for the little one, will let you all know if i’m succesful.

  11. Cerdo says:

I’ve been building their stage and have seen them in Malahide (two nights) and London (2 nights) Didn’t quite get them. I’m a big fan of the band, but they seemed too introverted to headline their own gig.
Last night altered that entirely. What a gig. IMHO the best audience reaction I’ve seen. The best set too, though I didn’t see Glasgow. London was greated by a typically London attitude. Ireland had too little audience capacity,
Manchester, however, was greeted by a fin response, which may be whie they did a 3rd encore, cause we appreciated them!
    Phew

  12. Seoseah says:

The Hitcher – were you the guy who kept shouting “Blow me away Thom”? If so you were stood right behind me. Either way, incredible gig, with Paranoid Android possibly the highlight for me.

  13. admin says:

all these comments make me believe that the show in Manchester was the greater of the European Tour.. all of you seem to be absolutely excited with the experiance..

  14. M says:

    Fantastic show! Great night!

  15. lounatik says:

travelled from Cardiff for this show. truly astounding! Blow me away everytime I see them.
The only band I still adore, who are still making amazing records and playing amazing shows 10 years after I first got into them.

  16. indie frog says:

What a beautiful sunset… such a perfect gig… my 4th time with them, and the best ever… I can’t even find the words 2 days later!!!!

  17. indie frog says:

By the way, if anyone has pics/videos of this show, don’t hesitate!!!

  18. Debs says:

best night of my life! Food for my soul to last me for ages………like being 15 again xx

  19. Will says:

how come no one wanted to chant Free Tibet like they did in london? there were only two of us doing it!

  20. Kane says:

Radiohead at Manchester was the greatest gig I have ever been to. They were utterly sublime, and everything I could have hoped for.
For anyone who’s interested, I have a few of the songs, that I videoed live, on my you tube page.

    R_A D IO H_EA D – best band in the world.

  21. Kane says:

Did they not play sit down, stand up too?

  22. Chris says:

Amazing gig – bit gutted they didn’t play Street Spirit but absolutely made up they came back on for a third encore and played Lucky.

  23. Ben says:

I so glad that the Manchester gig is going down as the best… fully deserved it is too. Kept me entranced for over 2 hours… my friends who went to london said they didnt even do an encore once! Feel well priviledged to have missioned it up from brighton (london tickets sold out…glad they were too!).

As for street spirit, they didnt play it at glasto 03 either (they’re bored with it..) hope they feel nostalgic next time i see them though, its the only classic ive now not heard live!

  24. Sophie says:

I went to both London (24th&25th) and Manchester and have to say I would be lost without having gone to all of them but Manchester was certainly best. For me, all we needed was The Bends as another little cherry, but that would be greedy now wouldn’t it. The Bends in London was fabulous but the crowd made it what it was for Manc.

    Hail to the Radiohead, forever.

  25. Elly says:

This was my first ever Radiohead concert, and I have to say I was not disappointed in the slightest. Since I love all of their songs I feel I’m less biased on the playlist and thoroughly enjoyed everything they did play. This time has inspired me to see them more than ever.

  26. Jules says:

Absolutely amazing concert. The atmosphere was fantastic and Mancunians are the friendliest people ever – I should know, I am one but have lived down south for the past 30 years! What a joy to go back and see one of the best bands ever.

  27. Stephen says:

@ Will : The reason noone was shouting free tibet was because most people aren’t sheep like enough to adorn the political views of their favourite band for the sake of it.

I don’t know crap about tibet so I’m not going to scream my head off about it because Thom Yorke has his views on it.

GOOD GIG LIKE THOUGH, WEREN’T IT!

  1. Matkareportaasi Manchesterin reissusta : Waiting for Cadot says:

[...] Radiohead soitti 2 h 15 minuuttia ja paljon sellaisia kappaleita, joista tykkään paljon, kuten Idioteque, Paranoid Android, Optimistic ja viimeisenä encorena aivan ihana Lucky. A glorious day, indeed. :) . Myös Hail to the Thiefilta soitettiin useita kappaleita ja olen aina tykännyt siitä albumista kriitikkoja enemmän. Visuaalisina efekteinä lavalla roikkui pitkiä putkia joilla luotiin sähköisiä ja värikkäitä liikkuvia efektejä useiden kappaleiden aikana tai luotiin vain tunnelmaa tasaisen tunnelmallisella valaistuksella. Paranoid Androidin aikana esimerkiksi näitä tuli seurattua aika hypnoottisesti. [...]
