Free In Rainbows Playback at Last.Fm
Jul 3rd, 2008 by admin
Great news indeed! Radiohead go one step further! After all this unique project with In Rainbows (free for download concept etc) now Radiohead gave license to Last.Fm to playback the whole album for free! The feedback was great while almost 22000 Last.Fm members listened at the album the last 12 hours (which means almost 1 every 2 seconds!).
It is the first time that Radiohead give a global license for something like this. Last.Fm co founder Martin Striksel said: “Radiohead understand that the Internet is changing music distribution, and we’re extremely proud that they’ve teamed up with us to offer In Rainbows for free-on-demand streaming” and Radiohead Co Manager Bryce Edge added: “We felt this was a fantastic means of offering a new way for people to discover In Rainbows. It’s perfect timing for the band’s current world tour.”
