Radiohead for the Mercury Prize

It is not a surprise that Radiohead - In Rainbows is one of the strongest nominees for the Mercury prize. 12 albums created in 2007 were chosen from an indepedent panel.
The chairman of the Judges, Simon Frith said: “What is most striking is the continued resilience and flexibility of the album as a way of organizing music-making,” and he added “It remains an unrivalled source of musical invention and imagination, a way of linking songs, exploring themes and developing sounds.“
Radiohead’ In Rainbows will face Led Zeppelin former perfromer Robert Plant’s Raising Sand, British Sea Power, Elbow and much more great british artists. The winner will be announcedl live in BBC 2 on September 9

- Neon Neon - “Stainless Style”
- Portico Quartet - “Knee-Deep In The North Sea”
- The Last Shadow Puppets - “The Age Of The Understatement”
Once more it won’t be a surprise if In Rainbows wins the Mercury Nationwide Prize!
