Radiohead Snubbed Miley Cyrus, Kanye West … Anyone Else?

Yes you heard it, Radiohead has been doing a little snubbing of late. First supposedly to Kanye West and now Miley Cyrus claims she too had been snubbed. Surprisingly all this took place at the 2009 Grammys.

According to Miley Cyrus’ interview at a Portland radio station, her manager approached Thom Yorke and Radiohead saying ’Miley, she’s really obsessed and she’d really like to meet them,’ for which they replied ”We don’t really do that”.  Then she continued to say on the radio station’s syndicated Johnjay and Rich Show, “Stinkin’ Radiohead. I’m gonna ruin them. I’m gonna tell everyone.”  The wrath of a teen superstar who doesn’t accept rejection.

Those who are true fans of Radiohead know that they are all about the music, they don’t follow the “norm” and certainly don’t put themselves out there for celebrity drama. Call them simply shy, standoffish or whatever you may, they break music boundaries doing things their own way.

What is your opinion? Who is in the wrong? Radiohead? Miley Cyrus? Kanye West?  Or us for even bothering to post this?

One thing for sure Radiohead’s been getting a lot of publicity lately and that may not be a bad thing afterall.

hallelujah. i have this theory that, the less you pay attention to something, the less it exists. if we would all start paying less attention the miley cyrus’, paris hilon’s, ‘bachelor’s’ of the world, the less they will exist, thus, fading into the oblivion whence they came, and where they belong. radiohead remains radiohead by being true to themselves. hallelujah.

Thank goodness for Radiohead, a band that cares more about their music than what the tabloids think of them. Maybe if Miley Cyrus grows up one day and becomes a REAL musician, she’ll realize this is was it’s really about. If we could have more bands out there dedicated to their music than their popularity ratings, maybe then we could get back to where we once were, where music was creative and insipiring, instead of this cookie culture music mindset the big record companies have gotten into.
