Radiohead for the Mercury Prize
It is not a surprise that Radiohead – In Rainbows is one of the strongest nominees for the Mercury prize. 12 albums created in 2007 were chosen from an indepedent panel.
The chairman of the Judges, Simon Frith said: “What is most striking is the continued resilience and flexibility of the album as a way of organizing music-making,” and he added “It remains an unrivalled source of musical invention and imagination, a way of linking songs, exploring themes and developing sounds.“
