Back in November of 2008 we told you that Radiohead were planning their next album. Well now it’s been confirmed by Colin Greenwood through the BBC that the boys are back in the studio working on the new ‘Eighth’ album.
I must say that it’s exciting news and if you get chance visit the BBC link above to read a question/answer session with Colin himself. Let’s hope the boys produce, they have a lot to live up to after In Rainbows, which was one of the most acclaimed albums of 2007..

Colin Greenwood almost went deaf

While we are during the break between two legs of the Radiohead In Rainbows Tour, the most important news revealed was Colin Greenwood went deaf during the recording sessions for In Rainbows. This is what Greenwood revealed to his interview for Word. Colin describes this experiance like a “fucking nightmare”. The reason for the accident was that what he used the wrong type of headphones!

Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood had an interview for Pitchfork on Friday 28 March 2008! Colin spoke about almost everything.. about Nigel, about the recent webcasts, about the announcement of the release of In Rainbows etc.
The most important from this interview is that Colin admitted that the band has booked a studio in order to start sessions for a new album with Nigel Godrich as a producer. What exactly did Colin Greenwood told? “We’re actually gonna be working with Nigel again soon – we’ve reserved time and we’ve got stuff we want to do” and he added “it’s like having an old-school executive producer that’s talking about the big picture and booking time to be creative.”
