Phil Selway speaks about the upcoming tour

Phil Selway had an interview for GigWise. What he said was really interesting and noone can doubt that he has only good news to bring! Phil believes that Radiohead play now better than ever: “I think we’re playing well at the moment“, “I think we’re playing the best weve ever played, so yes, all those things add up to it being a good time to be in Radiohead.” So the fans are going to enjoy great gigs, in the upcoming tour! Phil also said that, after 7 albums, the band can change the set during the tour, and that is really pleasant for them.

 

 

Answering to the question whether they are going to stop playing music Phil Selway said that this won’t happen soon: “I think for all of us, as long as its still moving forward and it sits with all our lives then yes, Im sure we will carry on making music, as there’s loads of impetus there to do it.“

Great news indeed! Can’t wait for the tour to start!

Guy Harvey praised Radiohead

The leader of Elbow, Guy Garvey admited that Radiohead are among his favorite bands and a great influence for Elbow. While talking to Gigwise he also said that Elbow couldn’t exist with Radiohead! He also added that Hail to the Thief was his favorite album, while his love for Radiohead begun on 1995′s The Bends! Besides, Pete Turner, the bassist of Elbow seems to agree with Harvey!

What Guy Harvey said about Radiohead in Gigwise:

“I think they’re a terrific band – there’d be no Elbow without Radiohead“, “We don’t have to discuss how good they are,“. Besides he added: “They’ve really took me with ‘em as well, from The Bends right the way through“,  “I would say until Hail To The Thief every album astonished me, like, that literally floored me. Literally. I’m lying there, astonished, unable to breathe.“
