2239 Nude Remixes!

As we have announced in this blog, one month and two days ago (Aprils 1st) Radiohead started a contest for the fans to create remixes of the second single of In Rainbows, Nude. The participations are now completed. Among the participants we can meet some great artists like Holy Fuck and Thomas Dolby!

Of course the Radiohead fans can still vote for the best remix! Till now, you can find Spor Remix on the top with 13000 votes.

Nude reaches BillBoard Top 100 due to remix tracks

It is the first time since 1996′s High and Dry that a Radiohead single reaches the Billboard Top 100. We are talking about Nude single. But it is confirmed that the reason for Radiohead reaching the no 37 due to the sales of the individual tracks for vocals, bass, strings, drums etc. These sales are added to the mixed-together song sales. This is why the song reached no 37.

According to Idolator, which has access to Billboard numbers, this is absolutely true because if only the single was counting, the album would reach no97 or maybe it would miss the Top 100. Idolator’s Chris Molanphy says: “if the original song, sans stems, were to chart by itself, it would have made No. 96 on the digital sales chart and likely would have missed the Hot 100 entirely“.

But there is nothing unfair or wrong with this, and it is totally in agreement with Billboard‘s Policy!

B-sides of Nude single are revealed

As it is known, the second single of In Rainbows would be the amazing 10 year favorite of the fans, Nude. Yesterday the b-sides of the single were announced! In the cd-single edition will be included Down Is The New Up as an extra. Besides the 7” single edition will contain the track 4 minute warning.

Both b-sides were previously released on In Rainbows CD 2.
