Radiohead Responds To Miley Cyrus Snubbing At Grammy Awards

In response to the claimed snubbing of Miley Cyrus by Radiohead at the Grammys, a statement was issued stating “ When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement”. This turns out was not the actual response by Radiohead themselves, but their publicist who was offended for them and thinking out loud.

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke though seemed to indirectly refer to the incident on their blog, stating “Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you’re not one of those people i have managed to offend by doing nothing xx”.

That says it all, end of story.

A video of Radiohead and the USC Trojan Marching Band rehearsing 15 Step at the Grammys stage, has recently been released. The almost nine-minute footage was videotaped by members of the USC, where behind the scenes showed Thom Yorke dancing around and giving instructions to the marching band.

The Grammy Awards show opened with U2 followed by many other artists including Coldplay. Then the highlight of the show came when Radiohead mesmerized with their performance of 15 Step accompanied by the USC Trojan Marching Band. After watching Radiohead’s live Grammy performance it made you wonder why it wasn’t the opening of the show. Both Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood were in top form with The Spirit of Troy supplying an array of rhythms.

Finally Radiohead got to take center stage at the prestigious Grammys and show the world what makes them such an exceptional band.

Radiohead Shines And Wins Grammy Awards

Before the televised part of the Grammys started, Radiohead won two grammy awards for their album In Rainbows. The awards were for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Album and Best Alternative Music Album.

The British dominated the Grammys this year with Coldplay taking three awards and Robert Plant (former Led Zepplin frontman) receiving five awards, including Album Of The Year.
