Kraftwerk Joining Radiohead Latin America Tour

Radiohead has landed the legendary German electro-pop band Kraftwerk as their opening act for their Spring tour in Latin America. Kraftwerk’s lineup though is up in the air since their founding member Florian Schneider has left the group. That leaves only one original member, Ralf Hutter, in the band.

Radiohead New Album In The Works

With the North American tour now wrapped up, the plans are in the works for a new album. Radiohead exclusively told BBC 6 music that they would be writing new stuff and heading back into the studio once they finished their world tour. Now with the addition of the Latin American tour starting in March 2009, it’s not known if in between they will work on songs for the new album or wait until those shows are done.  Well we just can’t get enough of Radiohead and look forward to what they do next!

Radiohead Latin America Tour Dates In 2009

The plan was that Radiohead would be touring Latin America this year but none of those countries ended up on the 2008 tour schedule. Radiohead won’t be disappointing those fans as they will be touring the Latin American countries in 2009 and two dates have been confirmed. The venues are Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico on March 15th & 16th (tickets on sale now) and San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium in Santiago, Chile on March 26th & 27th (tickets on sale now). Argentina and Brazil are also on the tour schedule but those dates have not been confirmed as yet.

March 22 – Chácara Do Jockey in Sao Paulo, Brazil
March 24 – Club Ciudad in Buenos Aires, Argentina
