Radohead's Ed O'Brien and Phil Selway at the end of this year will join Neil Finn again for the follow-up to the Seven Worlds Collide project. They will be recording a new album with brand new material supporting Oxfam's international development organization.

The original line-up returning for the Seven Worlds Collide Project is Neil Finn, Phil Selway, Ed O'Brien, Lisa Germano, Johnny Marr, Liam Finn and bassist Sebastian Steinberg from Soul Coughing. There will be other artists to join the project which will include Glenn Kotche, John Stirrat, Jeff Tweedy, Wilco's Pat Sansone plus songwriters Don and Runda McGlashan. Jim Scott, master recording engineer, will be doing the mixing. In the coming weeks, other names are expected to be added to the line-up.

The recording of the album will take place in Auckland in the coming months and the release date is in 2009. There will also be some concerts with a number of the artists lined-up performing. These shows will be performed in the early part of the new year in Auckland. More details to follow.

Neill Finn is amazed by the success of the project when he initially invited friends and musicians to join him seven years ago. He is glad to have the opportunity to expand the concept even further and to help Oxfam International continue the great work they are doing.
